The personal and professional skills required to win in the new business environment

Roundtable with Gian Luigi Cattaneo, Vice President HR at IBM Europe

Dear friends of Bocconi Alumni Community,

The first month of the year is already turning to its end and the time has come for us to kick off this 2020 with our series of events.

For the first gathering, we have been trying to focus on a topic that we hope will meet your interests.

The continuously changing business and social environment, driven by technology disruption together with the increasing pervasiveness of globalization and their reflection on markets and societies, is changing the paradigms of competitiveness affecting the ranges and the types of skills, both professional and personal, that companies are looking for to gain or strengthen their competitive advantage.

To discuss about these fascinating and very contemporary topics, we are very pleased and honored to have as special guest in this first event of the year: Gian Luigi Cattaneo, Vice President of Human Resources for IBM Europe.

With over 20 years of diverse experience in HR Management at worldwide level, Gian Luigi is an expert on HR Strategy, Employee and Labor Relations, Compensation & Benefits, and Leadership Development.

Currently based in the IBM Europe HQ in Madrid, he has been on assignment twice in US, where he was responsible of leading the Talent function for the IBM Global Business Services Unit at Global level.

Before he served as HR Director of IBM Italy and he also spent two years in Sao Paulo, Brazil, where he was leading the IBM Latin America HR team.

Before joining IBM in 2003 Gian Luigi matured significant experience in the HR sector in other well-known multinational groups such as FCA, NCR and Oracle.

Hoping that the profile of our guest and the topic that we are going to discuss will match your interests, we are inviting you to join us to our venue that, as per our usual format, will be a dinner with a roundtable.

For the occasion we are going to gather at Colonial Norte (Paseo de la Florida, s/n, 28008 Madrid)  on Tuesday February, 18 at 20:30.
